People often think of the physical day as ending once the sun goes down and it becomes dark. .... Really though, it's the night that has ended with light, it's a new day that has ended the darkness!

... "In the beginning ... The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. ... And God said, 'Let there be light' and there was light. And God saw the light was good. ... And there was evening and there was morning, the first day." (Genesis 1:1-5). ... So the very first day ended with LIGHT!

It's amazing how so many physical descriptions in the Bible parallel the spiritual. Jesus often spoke of the spiritual, but many people misunderstood because they listened with their physical ears, and focused on the physical, right here, right now. Even Jesus' disciples struggled to see the spiritual side of Jesus' teachings and we're lucky they did, because Jesus explains the spiritual more plainly to His disciples in scripture when He is seated alone with them.

I challenge you to take a deep breath right now. Visualize all the bad things in your life right now, consider them all as darkness & realize at this very moment, the sun is shining light on it all. It's exposing the truth about those hurts down to their very root. Visualize yourself uprooting each of your anxieties and fears, and casting them to God because He cares for you. (Paraphrase 1 Peter 5:7).

Now, lift a prayer to God and ask Him to help you believe in the spiritual light He sent into this world, Jesus. Pray for eyes to see beyond the physical. Only He has the power to begin a good work in you & He is faithful to bring it to completion! (paraphrase Philippians 1:6)
